SOUTH AFRICA

Live multivision by Reiner Harscher

Saturday, 6 June 2026, 12 pm and 3 pm ( about 90 min.)

Golden and snow-white dune beaches, wild and rugged mountains over 3,000 metres high, rocky and green-forested coasts, semi-deserts, dream beaches and, last but not least, Cape Town with its famous Table Mountain. Reiner Harscher, world traveller with his camera, photographer and filmmaker, has been travelling for many years in the country where two oceans meet at the coast, creating a uniquely spectacular natural landscape.

Together with his wife Karin, he drove the notorious Sani Pass in the magnificent Drakensberg Mountains and went on safari to see the Big Five in Kruger National Park, where they took exciting animal photos of lions and painted dogs. In the arid Karoo semi-desert, the two sat eye to eye with cute meerkats and watched whale mothers with their calves in the Indian Ocean.

On a 1,700-kilometre road trip, the two photographers and filmmakers travelled from Durban to Cape Town along one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world, along the unspoilt Wild Coast and the picturesque Garden Route. They met winemakers in Franschhoek and observed the hustle and bustle of Cape Town's Waterfront.

Experiencing South Africa also means soaking up the sun and absorbing some of the joie de vivre of the local ethnic groups, such as the Zulu and Xhosa, never leaving the country without at least one braai (barbecue), and enjoying the typical wine and good food.

Reiner Harscher presents his often emotional photos, film scenes and extraordinary aerial shots, taken over many years, in an exciting live show. The audience experiences a journey on screen with moments that make them smile and marvel, with wildlife observations that give them goose bumps, with magnificent natural landscapes and touching encounters with people.
