It has been over 25 years since an unprecedented trade fair concept was first realised in Bad Kissingen on an open-air site covering more than 110,000 square metres, which was previously used by the US Army as a missile defence position. Off-road in the open air. Off-road where off-road belongs. Where off-road exhibits are usually used – in the middle of the terrain.
This was both revolutionary and pioneering for an event that, with more than 400 exhibitors and visitors from all over the world, is still undisputedly considered the leading off-road and all-wheel drive long-distance travel expo today.
Numerous works have been carried out on the site over the past 25 years, buildings have been restored and sanitary facilities renovated. The exhibition and event grounds have been digitised and adapted to meet modern requirements.
A dedicated microwave radio network ensures that Wi-Fi is available throughout the grounds.
A dedicated exhibitor camp allows you, as an exhibitor, to stay overnight on site and continue networking even after the expo has ended. Alternatively, there is the CAMP AREA on the Saalewiesen, one of the most spectacular and largest long-distance travel meetings, as well as numerous accommodation options in the city centre.
Nevertheless, the trade fair has evolved in many other ways and today showcases more than just the entire spectrum of the off-road and caravanning scene.
The lecture series ‘Fascination – Adventure – Travel’ with prominent speakers such as Michael Martin and Alexander Huber has been telling interesting stories of journeys to the remotest corners of our planet for many years.
In addition, our workshops on the main stage and, on request, at your own exhibition stand, enable further exchange and dialogue with your customers.
The popular annual exhibitors' evening with food and drinks ‘all inclusive’ and a colourful supporting programme is also very well attended.
As an active and leisure fair, we drive all kinds of off-road vehicles on our off-road course. This offers you, as an exhibitor, two opportunities. On the one hand, you can use the course for paid test drives for your visitors, or you can use it as a presentation opportunity for your vehicles to customers, dealers and business partners.
