Special Guest 2024 - Walter Röhrl

THE RALLY LEGEND. WALTER RÖHRL.

Sunday, 02 June 2024 at ABENTEUER & ALLRAD

He is regarded as Germany's best driver of all time. Two-time FIA Rally World Champion and four-time winner of the legendary Monte Carlo Rally. He is the only German world champion and the first to triumph at the "Monte" with four different cars. To this day, Walter Röhrl is considered the perfect driver.

In 1980, Röhrl triumphed at the Monte Carlo Rally for the first time and became the only German World Rally Champion to date in the same year. This was followed by another FIA World Championship title (1982) and three further victories at the "Monte" in different makes of car. In 1982 in the Opel Ascona 400, in 1983 in the Lancia Rally 037 and in 1984 in the legendary, all-wheel-drive Audi quattro. Walter Röhrl ended his career in 1987 when the highest sporting authority in Paris limited the performance of the increasingly powerful cars due to the high risk involved. Since 1993, he has been a brand ambassador and test driver for the Porsche automobile group.

In 2000, Walter Röhrl was voted "Rally Driver of the Century" in Italy and "Best Rally Driver of All Time" by a jury of one hundred international motorsport experts. Former Formula 1 world champion Niki Lauda once called him the greatest ever for the whole of international motorsport and described him as a "genius on wheels".

On 2 June, Walter Röhrl will visit ABENTEUER & ALLRAD and talk about his life as a rally legend. Afterwards, he will be available for questions from the public, selfies and autograph requests.
