Special Guest 2021 - Joey Kelly
Musician, extreme sportsman and adventurer. Joey Kelly.
On Sunday, 24 October 2021, guest at ABENTEUER & ALLRAD.
He became world famous as a member of the Kelly Family in the 1990s. In the years before, as a child and teenager, he travelled with his family through Europe and the USA to earn a living with street music. Today, the musician, extreme athlete and adventurer Joey Kelly has long been a television star and is known to a wide audience as a contestant in the "TV total" challenges Wok World Cup and high diving, among others.
But his true passion is endurance sports. In the beginning, he thought of it as a way to balance his life, but over time it changed his life. In search of the ultimate challenge, Joey Kelly sets himself ever higher goals: He travels to the most remote areas to take part in the toughest ultra competitions in the world, completes over 50 marathons, more than 30 ultra marathons and nine desert runs. In the "Race Across America", he crosses the USA four times on his bike from the west to the east coast. Within one year he successfully completed an incredible eight Ironman triathlons - an unbroken record to this day. With Markus Lanz, he competed in the "Race to the South Pole" as part of the German team at temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius, and with Rammstein singer Till Lindemann he repeatedly went into the wilderness in a canoe. First on the Yukon, later on the Amazon.
At ABENTEUER & ALLRAD, Joey will not only talk about the earlier years of the Kelly Family and his seemingly inhuman experiences as an endurance and extreme athlete, but will also be available for questions, autograph requests and selfies.
