With the Vespa from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego
Friday, 30.07.2021, 3 pm (about 90 min)
On a decommissioned Vespa from the Post Service named "Elsi" with only 7.5 HP power and 125ccm, Alexander Eischeid dares the adventure of his life and sets off for America.
From Vancouver it goes north. Where the land ends and the ocean is reached, Elsi receives her last mail assignment: "Bring the water from Prudhoe Bay in Alaska to the South Atlantic to Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego."
Forests, deserts, tropics, mountains, rain and storms, tar, gravel and sand had to be conquered in 19 countries and 22 months before the oceans are unified. This trip brought unimaginable encounters, unexpected situations and breathtaking landscapes with it.
With video material, photos and graphics, Alexander Eischeid not only gives a presentation, but also uses gestures, sounds and emotions to pass on his travel experiences to the audience. He personally takes them on this extraordinary adventure.
71,000 kilometers, 22 months, 19 countries, 8 pistons, 2 cylinders, 3 brake drums and 5 sets of tires united in a cheer when Alexander Eischeid mixed the water from the Arctic Ocean from Alaska almost 22 months later at the southernmost point on earth with the South Atlantic.
